About Divya Eby
Founder, Head Artist of Colorful Moments Art School
Divya Eby is an award-winning fine artist settled in the Bay Area and the Director of Colorful Moments Art School, Cupertino. For the year of 2019-2020, Divya was bestowed the prestigious Distinguished Artist award by the City of Cupertino. She started learning and practicing art from the age of four, and it has been her passion ever since. She has created over 300 artistic projects using acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor paint, charcoal, color pencils, glass colors, jewelry, fabric, and clay.
As of 2021, Divya has 18 years of experience teaching various art mediums to diverse student populations. She is both an exhibiting member of the Fine Arts League of Cupertino (FALC) (since 2008), as well as the Treasurer (since 2019). She frequently participates in various art exhibitions and competitions in and around Bay Area as both an exhibiting artist and a judge. Divya also enjoys engaging in artistic volunteer work in local schools and community events to share her celebration of the arts with as many people as she possibly can.

CMAS wholeheartedly believes in the power of creating art on improving our imagination, resilience, and social-emotional wellbeing. Almost every drawing, painting, and project goes through a phase where we as artists believe the end product will ultimately not be successful. “The lines seem crooked,” “the colors are too bright,” “the paint didn’t dry properly,” etc.
We empower our students to trust in their abilities as artists and stay with their artwork until they’ve completed it to their satisfaction. Art mimics life in that things do not always happen as we expect them to, and it is in our control to respond accordingly in order to make way for the best possible outcome.
At Colorful Moments, we lead our classes with a thorough understanding of how our artistic skills can translate to, and improve our academic, professional and personal lives. This is why every day, we strive to maintain our art school as a safe, enjoyable and nurturing environment for students to grow as people, as well as artists.
